Where should I donate? A common question for those of us looking to give away our hard earning dollars to a worthy cause. There are some very well know charities out there, but perhaps you want to donate to a charity that doesn’t receive as much press or donations. So here are a few to help you make your decision.
Partnership for Learning
A Washington based charity which is focused on improving the public education system. Operational since 1994, Partnership for Learning hold firm in their belief that everyone should have access to an education which will help them get through college and into the work force.
The National Christian Foundation
Since 1982 the National Christian Foundation has been working hard, working with churches and ministries around the world. More than $1.8 million dollars has gone to over 15,000 churches world wide.
Children’s Aid Society
For over 150 years the Children’s Aid Society have been working to ensure that every child has what they need to become a healthy and happy adult. They have been working tirelessly to breach the gap for those children who haven’t got everything they need.
Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust
The Disabled American Veterans Charitable Trust work with veterans all over the country. They aid in rehabilitation and support those with disabilities. They also work heavily with veteran’s, giving them aid and shelter in times of need.
With over 200 hundred food banks, Feeding America service all 50 states in their goal to ending hunger in America. They run 70,000 programs which service the community, getting food to those in serious need.
In operation since 1998 MedShare has been striving hard to improve the environmental impact of the medical industry by distributing surplus medical supplies to communities and people in need.
League for Animal Welfare
Founded in 1949, the League for Animal Welfare has been protecting the welfare of animals for over 50 years. They also run no kill animal shelters.
